Comment on Bob’s game - What went wrong and how can we learn from this? by John Lynch http://murcho.alumnaie.net/01/bobs-game-what-went-wrong-and-how-can-we-learn-from-this/#comment-15 John Lynch Sat, 24 Jan 2009 23:51:34 +0000 http://murcho.alumnaie.net/?p=116#comment-15 Excellent write up on the whole, and I find myself in agreement. Bob's game is a testament to the effort a single hand can bear to bring on a project, but his approach to lobbying Nintendo for the SDK was more media stuntish then, say, a petition, or a serious moderated discussion on the topic. Comment on Defragmenting makes your computer faster by jimi http://murcho.alumnaie.net/12/jimi-makes-your-puter-faster/#comment-5 jimi Wed, 10 Dec 2008 03:04:59 +0000 http://murcho.alumnaie.net/?p=33#comment-5 Very good point Penny. I haven't used Vista a whole lot, so I went and had a look at it's auto defrag stuff. Looks like they pretty much removed it's interface and gives no useful feedback. A lot of people seem to turn off the auto defrag and have something like JkDefrag run instead. I'll update the post with how to turn of the auto defrag in Vista, so there shouldn't be any conflicts. Thanks! Very good point Penny.

But I just learnt that Vista does it automatically; and in fact, did it at 11am today while I was away from my desk. So this tool may not add any value for Vista users (and you'd want to be careful that it doesn't run at the same time as the system one).
