C++ tips and tricks.

So this part of the blog will be about me learning stuff in C++.  I’ve been coding for about a year and a half now, and while I’ve learnt a lot in this time, I know I still have a lot more to learn.

I guess the best analogy would be that I’ve reached a point where I can speak the language quite well, but only now am I discovering how to “phrase” the language best.  I’m looking into a lot of design patterns and data structures at the moment, and the deeper I delve, the more I realise I have so much further to go.  That’s not a bad thing.  I don’t think there’s any programmer that could say they know everything, and I don’t intend on ever getting to that point, but I do hope to expand my knowledge as far as it can go.

I’m currently working on an AI Tech Demo, which I’ll write more about soon, but it’s coming along very well, and has been a HUGE learning experience for me.  New graphics engine, new data concepts, new algorithms, etc.

Anyway, that’s where I’m at with C++.
